The Rolfs Educational Foundation Award and the Support Employee of the Year Award recognize outstanding contributions to the district by dedicated staff members. Nominations can be submitted by any employee, community member, parent, or students currently in 5th-12th grade.

Rolfs Educational Foundation Award

This is the 53rd year the Rolfs Educational Foundation Award will honor exceptional teaching ability in the West Bend School District. The Rolfs Award is granted to qualifying teachers in the district.

The Rolfs Educational Foundation gives four awards of $1,000 each to a teacher in each of the four categories: elementary school, middle school, high school, and special services educators. Eligible teachers with at least two nominations will be notified and asked for their consent to be considered.

Eligible teachers must meet the following criteria:

Must have completed a minimum of three years of employment under contract with the district
Must not have received the award within the past two years
Must receive at least two nominations

Nominations must be submitted on or before March 8, 2024. Nominations will become the property of the West Bend School District and will not be shared on basis of anonymity. Link to Rolfs Educational Foundation Award nomination form.

Support Employee of the Year

The purpose of this award is to recognize outstanding contributions to the district. This year there could be up to five awards given from the following employee groups: aides, facility/transportation, clerical, professional technical, and school nutrition. Each recipient will receive a $250 award. Those support employees nominated will be notified and asked for their consent to be formally considered for the award.

Eligible support staff must meet the following criteria:

Must have completed their initial probationary period
Must receive at least two nominations
Must not have received the award within the past three years.

Nominations must be submitted on or before March 8, 2024. Nominations will become the property of the West Bend School District and will not be shared on basis of anonymity. Link to nomination form.
