Write-in Candidate Registration Deadline for the Spring Election
The deadline for Write-in Candidates to file their Campaign Finance Registration Statement is noon on Friday, March 28, 2025. Paperwork must be submitted at the West Bend School District Education Service Center located at 735 South Main Street, West Bend, WI 53095.

School Board Candidates will appear on the ballot in the following order:

NOTICE OF SCHOOL BOARD ELECTION
West Bend Joint School District #1
April 1, 2025
An election is to be held in the School District of West Bend, on Tuesday, April 1, 2025. The following offices are to be elected to succeed the present incumbents listed.
Office Incumbent
School Board John Donaldson
School Board Melanie Ehrgott
Incumbent Notice of Noncandidacy
Incumbents not running for reelection must file a Declaration of Noncandidacy no later than 5 p.m. on December 27, 2024. If an incumbent fails to file this notification and does not file a Declaration of Candidacy, then the deadline for filing the materials necessary to appear on the ballot is extended by 72 hours for all other candidates.
Office Terms
The term of office for school board members is three years beginning on Monday, April 28, 2025. A description of the school district boundaries can be obtained from the school district office.
For Candidates
A Campaign Finance Registration Statement and a Declaration of Candidacy must be filed no later than 5:00 p.m., on Tuesday, January 7, 2025, in the office of the school district clerk at the Education Service Center located at 735 S. Main Street, West Bend, WI 53095.
The Education Service Center will be closed on December 24 and December 25, 2024, and December 31, 2024 and January 1, 2025. The building will be open from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm on the following dates:
- December 23, 2024
- December 26, 2024
- December 27, 2024
- December 30, 2024
- January 2, 2025
- January 3, 2025
Primary Election
If a primary is necessary, the primary will be held on Tuesday, February 18, 2025.
Additional Information
Acceptable Photo ID will be required to vote at this election. If you do not have a photo ID you may obtain a free ID for voting from the Division of Motor Vehicles.
Deadline for Candidate to File to Appear on the Spring Election Ballot
The standard Deadline for declaring candidacy is 5:00 p.m. on the first Tuesday in January, January 7, 2025.
In order to be eligible to appear on the official ballot at the Spring Election, a candidate needs to file a Declaration of Candidacy and Campaign Finance Registration Statement with the office of the school district clerk at the Education Service Center located at 735 S. Main Street, West Bend, WI 53095.
