The West Bend School District is committed to the safety and education of all of our students. Thank you for your understanding and patience while the police investigated a bomb threat which was found yesterday at the end of the school day at the high schools. As always, we take any threat to the safety of our students and staff seriously.

The West Bend Police Department and high school administration continued the investigation throughout the night on Monday. At no time was there a threat to student safety. Details of the incident were shared with parents, as directed by the West Bend Police Department. We worked closely with the police department to ensure the safety of all students, and staff, and to ensure the integrity of the investigation. Chief of Police, Ken Meuler, assured us there would be additional officers assigned to the high schools throughout the night on Monday, and during the school day on Tuesday, until this matter was cleared.

Investigators from the West Bend Police Department took a 15-year-old female student into custody and charges are pending.

We appreciate the West Bend Police Department taking the lead on this investigation to help us ensure a safe learning environment; we are grateful for their support.
