Fair Park Elementary School is starting a “Backpack Friday” program to supply families with nutritious meals and snacks throughout the year. We have partnered with the local food pantry to support this effort for our families. We know at times resources are stretched and times can be difficult. If this opportunity will benefit your family, your student will receive a backpack of nutritional food items on predetermined Fridays (or last day of the school week) during the school year. We will send out a schedule of dates after we gauge the interest level. We ask that the empty backpack be returned to school with your child on Monday (or first day of the school week) so that we
can re-fill it. This program is free.
If this a need you have and you would like to participate in this program, please email or call us by Friday, November 2nd to register . Include your child’s name, grade, number of adults and children in your family, and if there are any food allergies. This information is confidential and will not be shared beyond the “Backpack Fridays” staff.
