Eric Katz Selected as the Head Varsity Girls Basketball Coach

“We are extremely pleased to find a focused and dedicated coach such as Coach Katz,” said Ryan Tomczyk, assistant principal at East High School. “Through the interview process, Katz’s passion, enthusiasm and commitment to accountability for the program distinguished himself.  His priorities are focused on building the youth program and encouraging girls within the West Bend community to be excited about playing the game”. 

Katz spent last season as the varsity assistant girls’ basketball coach at West Bend East high school, and was also an eighth grade girls’ basketball coach at Badger Middle School. Katz also taught math at the West Bend high schools. In addition to his experience coaching in West Bend, Katz has also coached high school girls’ basketball at Menomonee Falls High School and Waukesha South High School.

Katz has strong family history of coaching. His father served as a varsity girls basketball coach for Germantown High School, his wife is currently the head women’s volleyball coach at Concordia University, and his father-in-law played professional football and coached collegiately.
