Are you prepping for an audition?
Here are some links and info that will help prepare you for the event regardless if it is for an ensemble outside of school or your audition for Chamber Orchestra right here at the high school. Are considering music as a possibility in college? If so, here are some important tips and guidlines. For more information and guidance, be sure to talk to your orchestra teachers and they can assist you in your pursuit!
Auditions often consist of three areas:
1) Scale(s)
2) Solo
3) Sight-reading
Scales often cause great fits of anxiety and panic. One word of advice....PRACTICE! Shying away from them will only cause you to feel insecure and unprepared. Scales are not terribly difficult and with slow, thoughtful, repetitious practice---you will succeed!
