The West Bend School District Libraries provide a variety of sources for information through online databases, print materials, and other technologies. These sources of information allow students to solve problems, complete research, build new knowledge, explore, and we strongly encourage independent reading by all students.
If you have any questions about the district's library program, please reach out to Pamela Mumm, Library Media Coordinator.
Library Catalog
The West Bend School District utilizes Destiny as our catalog system. Students, parents, and community members are able to browse the materials available to students through the destiny catalog by clicking the appropriate link below. Parents are also able to log into Destiny to review any materials that their student has checked out. This will require you to log into the destiny system as your child using their school provided username and password. Please ask your child for their login information and if you do need to contact us, please contact the Technology Office at 262-335-5505 where staff will verify personal information and provide the username and password. Please click here to find directions on how to login and access a list of your child's currently checked out materials. Links to each school's library catalog are below.
Book Review Resources for Students and Parents
Students and parents if you are looking for different resources to review books you are interested in reading or for parents to help guide students in the selection of materials, please click here. This list will be updated as we are aware of different review resources. Please note, the district is providing these review sites, but does not make an endorsement of any specific one. It is up to students and parents to utilize the source(s) they best feel meet their needs.
Book Preferences
If a parent/guardian has a concern about a book(s) or topic(s) for their specific student, the parent/guardian should contact Kim Christiansen, Library Media Coordinator to have this note added to our Destiny System. For example, if your student becomes triggered or bothered by certain scary stories or ghosts, a note can be made in the system stating no materials of this nature should be checked out to this child. This note will pop up when the library staff goes to check out any physical material from the library so the library staff can try and do their best to help students find the appropriate material.
