Our students need someone who can see their potential and help them reach their athletic and co-curricular goals. This journey begins with inspiring coaches who strive to empower an environment where students can succeed as individuals and members of a team.  

Serving as a coach within the district provides individuals with the opportunity to help students maintain a growth mindset and teach them valuable life skills such as being a good teammate, learning how to succeed in times of adversity, leadership, discipline, and confidence.    

The WBSD has more than 250 coaches (paid and volunteer) supporting 23 sports (WIAA sanctioned, co-ops, and clubs) as well as various youth programs that serve as feeder programs for the varsity teams. Coaches within the WBSD obtain the highest level of competition within the state of Wisconsin and receive some of the best professional development opportunities to make themselves as well as their programs better. Coaches are able to bring their own styles and philosophies to meet the needs of the district and the overall mission and vision of the school district.
