Fellowship of Christian Athletes will meet this Wednesday January 29th from 3:30pm - 4:05pm in Room 212. Mr. Troy Loether, Lead Pastor from Kettlebrook Church is our guest speaker this month. Please come for what will be a great message and....YES, there will be snacks. Friendly reminder, you do not need to be an athlete to attend. Any and all are welcomed! See you all Wednesday.
- This past weekend, students competed in the Future Business Leaders of America Regional Competition. Congrats to Ainsley Holtzer and Dane Mcintyre for their First Place win in Exploring Website Design. Lilian Wondra won 1st place in the Marketing Mix Challenge while Allison Warczak won 2nd Place. In the Career Research category, Clara Minte placed 3rd, Abu Ruiz placed 4th, and Sofia Cummings placed 6th. Congrats to all and good luck at State!
- Basketball "B" team, we have our end of the year party after school in room 136. Please bring your uniform to return. See you there!

- Congratulations to Ms. Zancanaro's West Bend East Dance Team! This weekend, they competed in regionals and advanced to State Competitions in LaCrosse. Congratulations and good luck!
- Badger Forensics competed at Silverbrook this past Friday, and let's just say, they didn't go home empty-handed! Many students earned first, second and third place awards; the team also earned the rank of 2nd place overall in the "Large School" category! The competition comes to Badger this Friday - good luck team!
This week's Staff of the Week was nominated because she is an amazing special education teacher with endless patience, kindness, and empathy. She shows up for her students every day, and is always willing to lend a hand to fellow teachers and students. Congratulations to Mrs. Dembski - Special Eduation Teacher!

- Attention 8th Graders - Get ready for Gearing up for High School Night on Wednesday, January 22nd! This is your chance to explore your future high school, meet teachers, and learn all about what's in store for you next year!
Here's what you need to know:
Doors open at 5:30pm
The event starts at 6PM in the Silver Lining Arts Center Auditorium, followed by a chance to explore the school and visit different departments
Don't forget to grab your resource folder in the East Cafeteria before or after the presentation
All 8th graders are welcome, and we hope to see you there! Also, remind your parents/guardians to check their email for an RSVP message about the event and respond if they haven't already!! - Congratulations to all of the students who were nominated to participate in the spelling bee. Our top 3 spellers are: 1st Place - Maya Spalding Solis, 2nd Place - Caitlin Bifani, 3rd Place - Addie Bieri. These 3 students are qualified to go to the Regional Spelling Bee in Ripon next month!

- Congratulations to the Badger wrestling team for ending your season on a high note at the Mukwonago tournament. We had many, many exciting pins, from Bentley Mallon, Fiona Techlin, Kaylin Kuzminski, Nicky Rankovich, Joey Dent, Carson Pizzino, and Connor Buscher. Jayden Hanvey took third place. Prudence Fry took second place. And we are proud to announce two female champions on the wrestling mats! Sixth grader Layla King and eighth grader Eden Lowery! Way to represent Badger! See you after school for the party today.

- Last night the Badger wrestling team had our final home dual against Slinger. Our captains Carson Pizzino and Jayden Hanvey went undefeated last night in all their matches! Also huge shoutouts to Prudence Fry for her thrilling defensive pin, which is very rare on the mat, Connor Buscher for his win by points, and Bentley Mallon and Syrus Sullivan, who had their best matches of the season!!

In the wake of yet another tragic event in a school setting, this time in our own Wisconsin, I just want to take a second and remind you that you matter and someone here cares for you.
I also want to remind you of a simple phrase- if you see something, say something. You can always Talk to a teacher, your counselor, administrator or other trusted adult anytime.
Finally, I want to remind you this holiday season of a gift that costs nothing- kindness- let’s continue to be kind to one another, Badger.

- Make sure you're collecting stamps on your Badger Pride cards by being responsible, respectful, safe, and ready to learn. You'll need three cards to qualify to participate in the Winter Olympic Events. You can sign up on December 17ths in Mrs. King's room from 7:35-7:55am.
- Group photos for Band, Orchestra, and Choir will be taken this morning. Please listen for your group to be called and head to the cafeteria.
- Basketball "B" team will have early practice today from 3:30-5:15. See you there!
- Next week is the last week of school for 2024! Let's celebrate our hard work by showing some holiday spirit. Monday starts off the holiday themed spirit week with pajama day. Wear your coziest jammies to kick off the fun-filled week!
- Several Badger wrestlers had some impressive wins last night on the mat. Joey, Carson, Layne, Kaylin, Aiden, Prudence, and Jayden got wins and Connor Buscher had his first pin of the season. Reminder for the wrestling team to meet at 3:30 to head to King Pin for a team bowling party.

- Candy cane sales are here! Pick one up before school while supplies last. 25 cents each, or 5 for $1. Interested in gifting one to a friend? Gift tags will be available to add to your candy cane.
- What can I say except auditions for Moana Jr are today from 5-8pm in the choir room! You can audition to be iconic characters from the movie like Moana, Maui, Hei-hei, Pua and more! Contact Mr. Gehrman with any questions.
- It's time to get your holiday creativity flowing! The annual door decorating contest starts this week. Each resource class will decorate their classroom doors in hopes of winning the spirit stick. The winning door will be announced during the Winter Olympics Assembly!
This week's Staff of the Week was nominated because he is wonderful to work with for both staff and students. Even though his job is challenging, he creates a space for students to be honest, and learn how to be good humans as well as keeping everyone safe. He always seems to be right where we need him. Congratulations to Officer Donath - School Resource Officer!

Prudence Fry, Lily Armstrong, Elizabeth Branham, Hayden Woods - Congratulations to the Hydro Hunters - the robotics team that will advance to sectionals in Waukesha on December 21st. The Robotics team will also join new partners - Rockwell Automation - at their holiday party to demonstrate the skills and values of First Lego Robotics!
- Attention all students: STAR testing will be taking place in your Math and ELA classes starting on Tuesday, December 3rd. This important test helps our school to understand you as a learner and make sure teachers have the ability to adjust their teaching as needed.
