These series of four sessions were help in 2023 and 2024 and open to the community. See details of the sessions and videos of each below. 

Wednesday, December 13 
Understanding the Impact of Mental Health on Families
The entire family is impacted by a person living with a mental health challenge, but there are resources available to provide assistance. A family will share their  struggles, celebrations, and lessons learned along the way in supporting their son who is living with a mental health challenge. Our panel will discuss community resources that are available for individuals and families and provide an overview of the more common mental health challenges, including the signs and symptoms.

Wednesday, January 10 
Understanding the Impact of Mental Illness on School Performance
There are support systems and resources available within the schools and in our community to help make the school experience more positive for students with mental health challenges. This event will describe the services available to help intervene early and address mental health challenges.  A family will share its story and a panel will take place.

Wednesday, February 7
Strategies for Supporting Your Child’s Mental Health
This session will include helpful tips for parents to support their children's mental health, as well as their own. As we all know, parents will often spend all of their time and energy caring for their kids, which can leave them emotionally and physically drained. We will discuss the importance of self-care for every family member to maintain positive mental health.

Wednesday, March 13
Coping Strategies, Hope, and Resilience
All of us have struggles and need strategies to maintain our mental health. A family will share its story of the journey in finding the support strategies that worked for them. The session will include a variety of techniques and skills that can be used to cope with stress, anxiety, depression, and overall adversity. We will also talk about the importance of building hope, purpose, and resilience in children, teens, and adults.
